Title: 4th OF JULY Carnivals in IL
Description: Get out There

Ilovthevu' - June 28, 2008 07:36 PM (GMT)
These are the carnivals I can find for villages during the July 3-July 6 week. However, Morton Grove is from July 2nd -5 so be aware of that. These are all in IL though. Some of these carnivals have websites while others don't.

If a carnival has multiple units (unit 1, unit 2), that means that the rides from those websites are at multiple places. So, if you want to go on a Zipper, the carnival may or may not have it if there are multiple units.

Morton Grove in Park
They have fireworks, and it was Windy City's 2nd unit.

Elmwood Park Freedom Fest
This was a mis mash of classic carnival rides.

Arlington Heights
I don't know if they have fireworks, but they have All Stars 1st unit.

Taste of Lombard in Park
They have fireworks, and they have All Stars 2nd unit.

Hoffman Estates by Village Hall
They have fireworks, and might had Modern Midways.
http://modernmidways.com/ - This is Modern Midways, but I'm not sure.

Naperville Ribfest
They have the other half of Spectacular Midways. They have the Music Fest here. Probably the 1st unit.

Bartlett Festival in a Park
They have fireworks, and the weird Astro unit with no Spin Out, but yet no Himilaya.

Lisle Eyes to the Skies
They have All Around Amusements.

Crystal Lake Gala
They had Wilson Family Shows.

Mount Prospect
They had Fantasy Amusements without 1001 Nachts, and Tilt-A-Whirl.

I'm guessing that Dixon (Petunia Festival) is the other Astro rides. It probably has a Himilaya, and the Spin Out.

Some carnival is in Kirkland.

Great America - July 8, 2008 04:13 AM (GMT)
The Crystal Lake Gala was great this year.

^What rides did they have at Crystal Lake? I found out that it was Wilson's Family Shows rides instead of Skinner.

Tiki - February 2, 2010 11:04 PM (GMT)
There is a great carnival just west of Great America in Grandwood Park (Hutchins and Stearns School Road) Live music, food, games and a fireworks display that rivals Chicago's and trust me, this is as close as you will ever get to a real fireworks display unless you are the guy lighting them off!
Usually happens around second week of July. Look for signs at the corner of Grand Ave. and Hutchins (Almond) announcing the date and times.
