hell yeah..skyrides are awesome!!
jonrev - July 2, 2006 11:38 PM (GMT)
Yeah, and the park needs one from the Front to the Back. The train doesnt do (Mod Note: Watch Your Language!) because you have to wait for it sometimes and if you miss it by the time it gets back to the station you're already on the side of the park you need to be. With DF/EF there's always a cabin ready.

No idea what it is so can't vote

^It's a sky ride. It goes on a wire, and it goes from one place to another.
This is SFOG's sky ride called Sky Buckets.
http://thrillridesweb.batcave.net/SFOG/SFOGSkyBuckets.htmlThese are a waste of money. We already have the train. It's not a big deal to walk.
The thing I always wish for that will never happen is a way to get from Deja Vu in County Fair to Batman and V2 in Yankee Harbor. I wish there could be a path. The problem is that you are going by the service road to get there, and they don't want to do that.

I don't know. They're getting really old. I don't think that they'll be that amusing anymore.
Jackluver19 - September 25, 2006 11:28 PM (GMT)
:( that's a shame but i like the train better
sixflagger3211 - September 25, 2006 11:40 PM (GMT)
These are better than the train. The train is only fun during Fright Fest.
Great America - September 25, 2006 11:46 PM (GMT)
Where could they put a new one?

Great America - September 25, 2006 11:49 PM (GMT)
sixflagger3211 - September 25, 2006 11:52 PM (GMT)
There's not that much space there. they need to make a queue too.
Great America - September 26, 2006 01:54 AM (GMT)
Theres space there, how do you think Fallen Giant got there?
sixflagger3211 - September 26, 2006 02:06 AM (GMT)
ya but to make a queue line plus the platform? and then where would they put it on the other side?
Great America - September 26, 2006 02:12 AM (GMT)
there would be two stations kind of like Cp and the que could be like KC
sixflagger3211 - September 27, 2006 01:47 AM (GMT)
Well maybe, but who cares.
jonrev - September 27, 2006 02:13 AM (GMT)
DF/EF could be rebuilt in its same spot. All that would need to be done is remove Condor (relocate it to Southwest Territory and put it in Trailblazer's spot and rename it Vulture or Buzzard), build a station on Condor's spot, rennovate Funnel Cake Foundary back into a skyride station, and there you go.
sixflagger3211 - September 27, 2006 02:28 AM (GMT)
Ya but some people are big fans of Trailblazer.
jonrev - September 27, 2006 03:03 AM (GMT)
Trailblazer is having problems and may be removed. Nothing is confirmed at this point though.
sixflagger3211 - September 27, 2006 03:06 AM (GMT)
Oh. I doubt that would happen anyway.
Great America - September 27, 2006 11:52 AM (GMT)
It could, TB isnt that popular. You never see more than a 5 min wait for that thing.
sixflagger3211 - September 27, 2006 02:38 PM (GMT)
True. But I still dont think that'll happen.
SkyRideTravis - April 20, 2007 09:12 PM (GMT)
Delta/Eagle should have never been removed in the first place! The cabins from it now run on Great Adventure's sky ride. So, Great America just needs to take those back, take one of their mechanical parts for the ride (Great Adventure has a double sky ride, they can share!) and fabricate themselves new towers. As jonrev said, Great America would only need to remove Condor (how about move it to Trailblazer's home?) and build a new drive station next to Superman. Just restore the Funnel Cake Foundry to its original state, and run a cable, and Delta/Eagle is in business again!
If Great America were to still have that ride, I think I'd have to get a job on it. Nothing is more soothing than the constant hum of a Von Roll motor.

I think it would be great if there could be a sky ride again. Not only is it a convenient way to get from one point in the park to another, without having to wait as you would for the train, you have some great aerial views along the way. It's a neat way to get a different look at the rides. I remember riding DF/EF when I was a kid. That's another plus, it's a great family ride.
Grndslam974 - April 23, 2007 02:41 AM (GMT)
i think it is a good idea but it would need 3-4 stops
viper31 - August 21, 2007 07:13 AM (GMT)
Rebuldiing the skyride would be a wonderful and very Family Friendly addition. I still remember lazy rides over the midway. Now with so much more in the park what a fun way this would be to quickly get back to Wiggles World.
cycamps - December 17, 2007 01:06 AM (GMT)
That would be a great addition to the park as well as something neat for the skyline. Now how about getting Southern Cross back??? B)
