Title: Music Changes
Ilovthevu' - August 25, 2008 04:38 PM (GMT)
I think the music has changed for the whole park, and not just in the waterpark. They are playing stuff like Fergie - Glamourous, Mambo Number 5, Mandy Moore - Candy :), Jordan Sparks - No Air, U2 - Stuck in a Moment, Michelle Branch, and that's all I can think of. I think the waterpark should have waterpark music as the music was really good before. The rest of the park, I think this other stuff is good for the rest of the park.
I liked the old-fashioned music before, but this is good stuff anyway. I liked the 80's music too. Basically, the park has no idea what they are doing.

Somewhere around County Fair, they played those songs that you listed.

I love the music they play ay HH. At first i missed the old fashioned music but I kind of like them playing the new modern music. I kind of wish they would do like a mix between the two.

Where were they playing U2? I would have noticed that :P

One of the major drawbacks of working here is the smattering of complete SHIT music that plays. That and the Michael Jackson. Sure, he was a great singer. I even have the guy on my iPod. But he's been dead THREE MONTHS now. Can we stop with it. I'd be fine with the music if they didn't play the same 5 songs every time. I want to kill Miley Cyrus, Rascal Flatts, Taylor Swift, Lady Gaga, that Jeremih kid, Usher, Sean Penn, Metro Station, and all the other "artists" they blast over the speakers.

Your opinion. I actually enjoy al the music, except "I like to move it". Seriously, i don't think the workers like to move it. ;)

^I don't know about that, I've seen some of them actually get into it quite well.
Anyway, I hate the park music. Absolutely HATE it. I used to love hearing all the generic music because you knew you were at SFGAM! You knew you were in a whole new world for the next 5+ hours! When you hear all that other crap, it just makes you feel like your everyday self and what you listen to on the radio. I go to SFGAM to feel special, to feel like a kid again, to feel different, to feel stress free. Between the music and the adds, I feel like every time I go to SFGAM, they have taken away a little bit of the "atmosphere" every time.
END RANT

Yeah the park music sucks now, but they haven't really used the original park soundtrack since 2005 so what ya gonna do? Sure they play absolutely terrible music but it's easy enough to ignore it.

I bring an ipod to the park. Quick solution

I agree with ILOVTHEVU!
Hurricane Harbor music should stay the way it is (was!)
You expect to hear Jimmy Buffet, Bob Marley and the Beach Boys at a waterpark. I am not opposed to them putting some other stuff in there as well. I really liked when they had those guys playing the steel drums.
I could have lived without the B-96 season where they kept blasting ©Rap music all day long. But I understand that people like that stuff and it helps to bring attention and make money, so I can live with it. (I won't like it.) But I can live with it.

The music would not be so bad if they had a bigger rotation of songs and occasionally played things that tied into the themes of the areas. They do need a bigger playlist though why not have more Simple Plan and the Plain White T's things from the 90's more venga boys like boom boom boom boom, or something just more songs but different artists

Probably can't afford to spend too much on licensing to play those songs. ASCAP and BMI are the biggest scams in the world.

i thought after so many years songs became public domain songs like christmas carols???
Tiki - April 2, 2010 10:46 PM (GMT)
I believe they all do eventually reach the public domain, but it probably takes a century for that to happen.
