Title: Roughest Woodie

I'd have to say Psyclone. Ive heard horror stories about that ride.

Hercules will give you a ride for your A$$. Airtime yes..but the pain just outweighs the fun.
CoasterAndrew15 - July 2, 2006 10:04 PM (GMT)
If you've ever been to Kings Island, and ridden Son of Beast, and didn't need painkillers for your ribs, back, legs, hips, and stomach..you are indestructable. That ride must have square wheels. The only way to come off that ride alive is to sit in the middle (non-wheel) seats, and even then it's pretty damn rough.

My friend went on Psyclone. He said it kills.

I haven't been on any of the others but I hate Eagle side Blue, that's all I have to say. I don't care what everyone else says. Eagle blue Bites

Actually, Hades at Wisconsin Dells is pretty rough. You should of added those.

Jon, you have no idea. ;)

Psyclone is boring, but not terribly rough...again, Son of Beast just plain sucks, hopefully the new trains make the ride good again.
sfgam123 - May 8, 2007 09:51 PM (GMT)
Psyclone is the same as Viper.
SFGAm07 - May 14, 2007 01:23 PM (GMT)
/\ Psyclone was completely different from Viper: the only difference in the layout was that they were mirrored but in terms of ride Viper is very smooth and tracks amazing while Psyclone was extremely rough, painful, and slow. The PTC trains that Viper uses track much better than the B&M trains Psyclone had also. Hence why Psyclone was removed and Viper still gets over 1,000,000 riders a season....
Roughest woodie i've been on is Cyclone at SFNE, though I still liked it.
sfgam123 - May 14, 2007 09:21 PM (GMT)
Well there the same track layout.
jonrev - May 14, 2007 09:31 PM (GMT)
Did you read what SFGAm07 said? They're mirrored, they are not the same. Psyclone also had a closer resemblance to the original Coney Cyclone.
And I think an earthquake had something to do with Psyclone's slow death.

You really need to ride Texas Giant at Six Flags Over Texas for your roughest ride period. I have been to SFStL, CP, GL, SFOG, SFKK, WDW, US, Cypress Gardens, SFMM (without Psyclone-wasn't open), DL, DCA, and I'll tell you that is the roughest ride I have ever been on. It hurts everywhere, and it's voted Amusement Today's favorite coaster. Are those people on something??
Go on Texas Giant, and see if you come back alive. It's a Dinn Corporation coaster by the way.
Before that ride, I had the Ninja's at SFStL and SFOG as the roughest rides. Boss is up there, but not nearly as bad at Texas Giant, and the Ninja's.

Mean Streak is the roughest ride I've ever been on. Right from the beginning it's a horrible experience. It would be a good ride if it wasn't so horrible rough.
jonrev - August 1, 2007 05:12 AM (GMT)
Actually, I can now say that I liked Mean Streak. Melt down those damn trim brakes and the ride would be pretty bitchin'. As for roughness, I'd say it's about average with Viper and American Eagle. Thunder Run was alot worse than Mean Streak.
CoasterAndrew15 - August 22, 2007 04:47 PM (GMT)
Again...people say Mean Streak is rough, but when you actually ride it it's not too bad.
