Obviously our banner has drastically changed. Something neat I want to do with it, however, is change it every few days/weeks/months/whenever people feel it should change.

Basically, everything to the right of the "picture-bar" and the site title is open space for a "Featured Photo" At the time of this post, it's American Eagle. Next week it will change to be Sky Trek Tower's lighted Christmas Tree.

I have well over 1000 photos of Great America, with about 300 very good photos that I will use for the banner. However, if you have an interesting photo that you might want to see on our banner, feel free to post it here or PM me, and I'll review and possibly consider using it.

If one of your photos gets used, your username will be embedded in the photo somewhere (visible, but not obviously placed) to give you credit. In order for it to work, it must be no less than 200 pixels wide. I will not even consider images smaller than that (it's a pain in the ass to resize it nicely). Also, photos must be good quality (absolutely no "cell phone-quality" photos).

When the people of SFGAmZone get bored with a featured image, just post here and I'll whip up something new either using one of my shots or one sent in by a member. In some cases, though, I will change the Featured Photo before anyone gets tired of it.

I never saw the STT becoming a Christmas tree, but I never gone though SFGAm in the winter time when the park is closed.

I like the picture of Clipper. It's something you don't see featured all that often.

This is one of my favorite pictures I've taken at SFGAm. If it doesn't work for the banner, it's all good. I just think it's a cool pic.

This is my favorite picture I took at Great America. I hope this would be in the banner.

Played with it tonight but unfortunately the only way I could have got it to work is if I only showed the top of the loop, which made it lose the sunset and landscape. Unfortunately it won't work.

It's an interesting angle yes, but the image quality is too poor. Had it of been taken with a better camera it would've most likely been used for the banner.

My Camera always gets that crappy look. When I record videos, it has better quality.

If you know where to look, you can get a pretty decent camera for under $150 in most cases.

Animated banners have been tested, and they all look like utter shit in the end.

It's been a while since I have asked a stupid question, so here goes:

Does Great America still use stars in the letters for its current logo, or is the one with stars used on your banner just for nostalgia?
