I hate that B***CH. He banned me from TPR for months.

jonrev - February 24, 2009 03:39 AM (GMT)
Although I do not approve of some of Robb's actions (such as his ability to get away with breaking the rules on SFGAmWorld, his "dictatorship" at TPR, etc.), this thread will only result in a flame war and will give us a bad reputation.

HAHA he IP banned me and about 100 other people just because we post at www.tommyandjames.net
He runs an illegal business (notice there is no sales tax on anything sold), Makes profit off of copyrighted material (you think he has the rights to the songs on his DVDs?), He completely rapes stupid kids and old rich weirdos with trip prices ($1000 for less than a week in Texas? are you serious?), He marries girls when they are young than knocks them up then once the kids aren't 'cute' he leaves them for the next young girl he can marry and knock up (Elissa is his thrid wife and "kidtums" is his 5th kid), I have heard numerous first hand accounts of him acting irradically for no given reason (I.E. At Liseberg on the 2006 UK trip add on, my friend Don and his wife Monica were waiting for the front row and right before their ride Robb came up and sat down and was like "come on guys you know I have to film this update, Monica got mad and stormed off. Later on Monica approached Rob to apologize and he said "Well you should know that I have important updates to film")

/End Rant

He owns a business? It's TPR's ultimate secret.

Dark knight - February 28, 2009 04:42 AM (GMT)
I seen him on Sfgamworld, seems like a cocky guy.

M_Force_4_ever - February 28, 2009 08:22 AM (GMT)
^LOL yeah SFGAmWorld got pretty angry with me when I posted this over there :lmao:

But simply put F*ck him and I think it's hysterical how far he goes out of his way to keep people from spreading truthful things about him (Yes Robert Lee Alvey, your criminal record is true meaning it can't be slander)

MrsVerticalVelocity - March 1, 2009 09:52 AM (GMT)
sfgam world needs help...they are a mess imo.

Dark knight - March 1, 2009 05:33 PM (GMT)
I hear people complaining about getting their posts locked for stupid reasons from mods like Galvan and Chitown. What happened to Areo747? So why don't they do spmething to this guy anyways, he must be some friend of his. Seems like no one was complaining about it except Benzo, but it is spamming. I advertise your site and got the heave ho a couple of years ago.

Mister_Twister - March 1, 2009 07:10 PM (GMT)
No offense to the guy, but Galvan has some kind of love for power. He'll lock topics other mods have looked away at. Definitely enforces the law to the toe. I hadn't been on the site in like four months and my first two posts were deleted (and to be honest, I don't think they were worth deleting. Deleting or locking a topic just makes a poster mad, and instinctively they'll try again. Obviously this has nothing to do with Robb Alvey, but refer to my previous post for my opinion on that.

Dark knight - March 6, 2009 04:18 AM (GMT)
Apparently they don't care if this guy spams in a way they thought was ok

http://www.sfgamworld.com/forum/posting-on...site-t9147.html

I guess if you spam and people reply to it it's ok.

It's Official: Some People Like Robb Alvey and Elissa White, Some Don't

QUOTE
Thanks to all of the incredibly gifted and brilliant minds over at rec.roller-coaster, the roller coaster enthusiast world will no longer have to wonder about one of the most intriguing mysteries of all time. For it has been solved.

After months and months of debate and thread after hate-spewing thread of useless, inane chatter and childish name calling, it can now safely and assuredly be said that some people like Robb Alvey and Elissa White and some people just don't.

Experts poured over the evidence for month after agonizing month looking for the answer to this puzzling perplexity. They painstakingly analyzed post after post, thread after thread, message after message looking for clues to guide them along in their quest for this supreme knowledge. They interviewed hundreds of witnesses dozens of times each. They watched hour after hour of roller coaster POV video footage and studied countless incidents of wild and wacky antics between Robb, Elissa and their 'so-called' fiends. Finally, after what seemed like an eternity, the experts reached a startling consensus on this ever so important issue. Some people like Robb Alvey and Elissa White and some people just don't.

Expert on everything and frequent rec.roller-coaster poster, Marvin Jacobson, had this to say about the oh-so-surprising recent revelation:

"I already knew that. It's really just a matter of simple mathematics. Flip a coin 100 times and, on average, it'll land on heads 50 times and on tails 50 times unless you have some super mind control power that allows you to control how the coin will land, like I have. But, if you aren't gifted with mind control like me, then half the time you'll get one result and the other half you'll get another result. Although, I guess there is also a slim possibility that the coin could land sideways on its edge. Yeah, I guess that could happen too. Or, possibly, you might flip the coin up so high that it would leave the gravitational pull of the Earth and just keep flipping around forever never landing on heads or tails. I guess that could also happen. But, anyway, what were we talking about?"

Experts around the world are quite relieved that this dilemma has finally been resolved. Now, they can move on and concentrate on solving some more of the important mysteries of life like which is the best digital camera, does Six Flags America management sit around all day watching BET, and is Justin gay, or is he just a really sexy bitch?

LOL (yes it's old but still LOL)

Dark knight - March 8, 2009 03:48 AM (GMT)
His power level is 0

MrsVerticalVelocity - March 9, 2009 01:58 AM (GMT)
What gets me is that some mods there just type some kind of insulting post before they lock a topic instead of just locking it or ignoring it. I will admit some topics on that site aren't the best, but if you make them mad, it won't work. If you just ignore them, then they'll see that no one is replying and they'll just stop. For example, on a weather forum I was on, I made several threads in o/t about my song lyrics and artwork. Nobody ever replied so I figured they weren't interested and I stopped posting them. (It wasn't against rules, it just wasn't they're "thing" I guess.) It's just natural for people to react with anger and disgust to what the mods say on sfgam world before they lock a topic. It doesn't help the situation, it only makes it worse.
I posted my two cents there and was very nice about it, but I'm sure I will get some kind of crud thrown at me simply for constructive criticism and suggesting somehting that they wouldn't think of doing. I'm almost positive I won't get any appreciation for trying to help...

Mister_Twister - March 9, 2009 02:11 AM (GMT)
I really don't know what happened to SFGAmWorld. That was an excellent site in 2003 when I started posting. It kept being good and I kept posting. Then I don't post for awhile and I come back, and it's a concentration camp chock full of idiots and insane guards.

M_Force_4_ever - March 9, 2009 04:19 AM (GMT)
Yeah well the hobby of roller coasters is full of dicks and weirdos...

Mister_Twister - March 15, 2009 05:24 AM (GMT)
Jeez, At the moment I think the Zone has more traffic than SFGAmWorld........

Dark knight - March 15, 2009 02:24 PM (GMT)
At least we have more freedom than you screw up once and you're banned crap at sfgamworld.

Luxornv - March 15, 2009 11:43 PM (GMT)
Since we're off topic here (though does that matter in this section), SFGAmWorld is one of the most hostile forums I have ever been on. I don't post there because I usually get bitched at when I do for something.

MrsVerticalVelocity - March 19, 2009 06:02 AM (GMT)
^ You explained it in a nutshell! I mean, why post somewhere when you can't even enjoy yourself? Once in a while I will make a post or two if I really have something to say, if I don't then I won't bother.

I won't just bash sfgam world to shreads, but honestly, they really need some help. They are getting nowhere the way they are now. That place becomes more and more of a disaster every time I see it!

What I think happened is that the mods came to have the wrong idea of leadership and community. (Or at least the mods who are most active). This may sound stupid, but if you want a successful forum, you have to treat it like a community - like a city or village. The leaders of the village have to listen to the people. You cannot be a community without good communication. This communication can be verbal and non-verbal.

You probably hear "non verbal" with internet and think it's impossible, right? But like I said before, ignoring someone's posts is non-verbal (or in this case, written) because you are basically doing nothing. That's what is difficult on the computer because you have all these words in front of you and no voice. You could interpret a paragraph so many different ways! In speaking, you know because you can hear the tone of voice.

To lead a community, you have to be patient! You can't just expect things either. You need to treat every member as if they are on the same level. Treat them all equally and be nice even if you don't like someone. (Jon is very good at that, I've noticed).

Really, all a leader does is uses the ideas and wishes of the members and organizes them so that they become a reality! So really, the members "lead" and the leaders "organize".

Everyone likes professionalism. We are naturally drawn to something that is organized and runs smoothly. Sfgam world is not professional-like at all! Being professional-like doesn't mean you have to act like business people! Hail no! You can be yourself, but you have organization, good attitude and you are able to handle dysfunctions without much of a problem.

The people who run sfgam world just have the wrong idea of how to run something and honestly, I don't blame them...they are trying, but they just need to realize that they are going at it from the wrong direction! Some people are cut out fot certain things, and others are not. I don't believe that galvan is cut out for his position. I don't mean this as an insult either. He just needs to find his niche and a forum mod isn't it.

I know none of the mods on sfgam world would want to agree with this post. But if any of them ever happen to read this, well then they should think business and community - they are serving a group of people and the people are serving them. They need to think of running their forum as if they are running a village or a restaurant or anything of that sort.

An argument: But it's just the internet!

My argument: No, the internet is a community just as your city or village is! Even if you don't take the internet seriously, people still won't be attracted to disrespect and chaos. It doesn't matter where you are, community matters!

sfgam123 - April 9, 2009 03:47 AM (GMT)
We should just revolt against him and TPR, just get abunch of people to boycot that site and there trips, its like freakin North Korea in there!

Who did Zach's avatar?  It's hilarious.  I haven't paroled the other topics, so sorry if I missed it somewhere.

My friend Jon made it (he said he registered here but is pending approval)

What's his screen name? See, when peeps register it tells them to email an admin to let us know they've registered. We have spam catcher and unless they read their stuff and email us, we don't know someone is waiting.

So you may want to either shoot an email over to the admin email or re-register and repeat step one

jonrev - April 12, 2009 04:37 AM (GMT)
Hm, it didnt tell me to email an admin when I first registered, but Ben told me yesterday at the park to try emailing them. Couldn't find an email address anywhere though. Ben PM'ed one of the admins last night but still nothing.

PM me an email address, I'll give that a try.

And he does it again...
http://www.sfgamworld.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=15&t=9901

In the 6 or 7 years I have been posting at coaster sites, I have NEVER seen someone who runs a "megasite" like TPR go onto another popular forum to advertise their stuff, and get away with it.

I want to say something on the World, but it would be a waste of time because it seems like every time someone reminds Robb of the rules the post gets deleted and/or that "reminder-er" gets chewed. :rant2:

You would think that TPR is so huge that they wouldn't need to go to other sites just to advertise their stuff... makes me wonder...

Its says that I am not allowed to read that forum...hmmm

jonrev - May 5, 2009 05:38 PM (GMT)
^Link fixed, wonder if they're trying to keep people from linking to threads.

SfgamWorld is a branch of TRP. It has to be.

I bitched at them, saved it and will (Mod Note: Watch your Language!) again if necessary. Let's see them ban me, I could care less.

Here's what I rote

Dude you guys should totally see some of my coaster DVD's. They're just $10 and that money keeps me happy! Send me a PM and i'll send you my entire collection!

-What I'm trying to say is how in the hell does this not count as adverstising, which I thought was against the rules as per, well, the rules:

QUOTE ("The RULES OF SFGAMWORLD!!!")
Unacceptable posting: You may not post any material which is false, defamatory, inaccurate, abusive, vulgar, hateful, harassing, obscene, profane, sexually oriented, threatening, invasive of a person's privacy, or otherwise in violation of ANY law. This is not only not humorous, but legal actions can and will be taken against you. You also agree not to post any copyrighted material unless the copyright is owned by you or you have consent from the owner of the copyrighted material. Spam, flooding, advertisements, chain letters, pyramid schemes, and solicitations are also inappropriate in the SFGAmWorld Forum.

Perhaps I'm wrong, Perhaps they don't apply to robbalvey. Oh wait, I'm right.

QUOTE ("The rules of sfgamworld also")
Who do they apply to: Everyone, nobody is excused from them, and it is the users responsibilty to keep up to date with changes to the rules.

Mister_Twister - May 12, 2009 11:47 PM (GMT)
I got this gem of a P.M from Robb Alvey himself,

QUOTE ("robbalvey")
Listen Pizza Boy,

If you don't like my posts, fine. There is no need to create any stupid drama over them. Why don't you leave the moderating to the mods instead of trying to back seat moderate every post I make?

I don't go around harassing you with stupid crap and I don't see any reason why you should be doing this to me either.

CoasterNick3157 - May 13, 2009 07:42 AM (GMT)
Pizza Boy!!!!!! :superman:

jonrev - May 13, 2009 08:13 PM (GMT)
Interesting, they finally pulled both of his DVD threads.

Also, for the record this is why I never "directly" promoted SFGAmZone there, because there would be a backlash just like what's happening with TPR.

M_Force_4_ever - June 2, 2010 04:07 AM (GMT)
Q: What kind of deodorant does Robb Alvey use?
