If they keep Rolling Thunder, there would be no Raging Bull and Southwest Territory. The ride reminds me of Disaster Transport at CP (Which is also a bobsled ride).

I always thought this was an interesting ride when I was younger. I also thought that the car was going to fly right over the side of the tracks. When I went to Cedar Point in 2006 and rode Disaster Transport (which, while waiting in line, I had no idea what kind of roller coaster it was), I thought the seats were too low, but still found the ride entertaining, especially since I know there aren't many bobsled coasters left out there.

that seems like such a weird placement for the ride. I mean I can tell they were going to expand that area but it looks like it was built on an outlot. That and why was it built ontop of the Demon. It looks like how I set up my coasters in RCT.
Edit: I noticed a few things. 1. where was the entrance actually situated at? I don't know if the pic is just disorienting but I cant figure out the flow of people into the ride. 2. There's no crossing gates there. Looks so barren without it.

^ The entrance for Rolling Thunder was what is now the entrance for the Southwest Territory (the entrance by the Whizzer that goes over the bridge with the remote control boats). You would go under the railroad tracks, and there it was, right on the other side of the railroad track. It was not built on any land occupied by the Demon- it was next to the Demon in what's now the Southwest Territory. The station for Rolling Thunder was approximately where the entrances to Hurricane harbor and the Viper are now.

Hey,
Where was Rolling Thunder in relationship to Hurricane Harbor? It looks from these pictures like it was where the South end of the Harbor is now? I thought they used the parking area to build Hurricane Harbor?

I really wish I could have gotten the chance to ride Rolling Thunder. Never been on a bobsled type of coaster. It's okay though, DISASTER TRANSPORT Fall 2010 here I come!
