Title: Some People

Mister_Twister - January 4, 2010 06:14 AM (GMT)
Some people call me the space cowboy yeah
Some call me the gangster of love
Some people call me Maurice
Cause' I speak of the pompetous of love

People talk about me baby
Say I'm doin' you wrong, doin' you wrong
But don't you worry baby don't worry
Cause' I'm right here at home

Cause' I'm a picker
I'm a grinner
I'm a lover
And I'm a sinner
playin' my music in the sun
I'm a joker
I'm a smoker
I'm a mid-night toker
I get my lovin' on the run
Ooh, ooh, ooh, ooh

You're the cutest thing that I ever did see
I really love your peaches
Want to shake your tree
Lovey dovey, lovey dovey, lovey dovey all the time
Ooh wee baby, I sure show you a good time

Cause' I'm a picker
I'm a grinner
I'm a lover
And I'm a sinner
playin'my music in the sun
I'm a joker
I'm a smoker
I'm a mid-night toker
I sure don't want to hurt no one

People keep talkin' about me baby
Say I'm doin' you wrong
Well don't you worry, don't worry, no don't worry mama
Cause' I'm right here at home
You're the cutest thing I ever did see
Really love your peaches want to shake your tree
Lovey dovey, lovey dovey, lovey dovey all the time
Come on baby now, I'll show you a good time

I really hate this song. I worked at a movie theatre for a few years in a few different capacities, and I think this song was at the end of Barnyard. That really sucked to clean up not only because it was a kids movie (which always sucked because kids throw crap all over the place, sometimes literally crap), and because of this song. It is so freaking annoying.

This was one of many songs drilled into my head during passing periods in high school, though it was one of the better ones.

All they ever played at my hs during passing period was hip-hop. I wish they played this song. I like it but I guess after awhile it'd get boring.

^Don't worry, we got the share of hip-hop/pop crap as well; however there was the occasional Pink Floyd "Money" and Lynard Skynard "Simple Man" in there once in awhile that made up for it.

Then there was a week where they tortured us into donating to charity (the charity part I'm in no way complaining about) by blasting "B-I-N-G-O" in the hallways for a week and a half. By day 6 I quit going until I had confirmation it was over with.

Very nice. Closest thing we ever got to music was "Breakfast in America" by Supertramp. Yet I can top bingo with the Muppets' version of "Twelve days of Christmas". You haven't been annoyed until you've heard miss Piggy scream "FFFIIIVVEE GOOLLLDD RINNGS!" out loud ad infinitum.

You're lucky your school even got Christmas music. Apparently being in the Christmas spirit in any way shape or form is grounds for someone to get pissed off and file lawsuit; I was busted for wearing a Santa hat the day before winter break my Junior year. Calling the dean "Scrooge" out loud didn't help.

Come to Macys during the holidays, where they play 5 different versions of "I Saw Mommy Kissing Santa Claus" within 4 hours. Or before the holidays during their "million meals" promo, where they had about 6 or 7 MUZAK versions of "Come Together" (as in no lyrics and various different instruments playing it). Never hated any Beatles song until then.
