I know that they're all over, but I've never managed to ride a tornado before...so I think I'm one of the few people actually looking forward to this addition.

I really don't see myself going to Hurrican Harbor anytime soon, I gotta get my abs back if I wanna go there lol Winter really got to me

That's really cool, I didn't know that the funnel would be that big. WOW

CoasterAndrew15 - April 22, 2006 01:33 AM (GMT)
75 feet tall. It's the Third Proslide Tornado I've seen. Hope its good, cause I've never ridden one.

FRD714 - April 22, 2006 01:40 PM (GMT)
That is so....BIG!

jonrev - April 22, 2006 05:46 PM (GMT)
Looks like they're just about done with assembling the structure.

jonrev - April 25, 2006 09:43 PM (GMT)
Looks like they're starting the actual slide now.

jonrev - April 27, 2006 02:43 AM (GMT)
The tower for the platform has also gone up. (triple post, sorry)

jonrev - May 25, 2006 01:19 AM (GMT)
Tornado is DONE! People were testing it this afternoon. I will post a small video of people on it soon.

sfgam123 - June 1, 2006 09:26 PM (GMT)
Dose eneyone think they should of made a other ride then tornado? I would say like a body slide.

=ADMIN NOTE: Because you are still new here I will give you one more warning. Please use proper spelling or you will be suspended.=

CoasterAndrew15 - June 1, 2006 10:33 PM (GMT)
Don't we have them already? I think we do, but I'm not sure. I remember SFEG had something called the Edge last year which looked pretty cool, but it did the same thing as the tornado, just without the top of the funnel.

the_franchise - June 12, 2006 07:39 PM (GMT)
Isn't this somewhat the same idea as Stingray from Noah's Ark?

sfgam123 - August 1, 2006 02:58 PM (GMT)
It's like the halfpipe waterslide.

sixflagger3211 - August 27, 2006 04:17 PM (GMT)
That is so....BIG! - FRD714

From the parking lot the funnel doesn't actually look that big. When ur standing in front of it though, IT'S HUGE!!!

Great America - August 29, 2006 03:12 PM (GMT)
It looks big from everywhere, especially the parking lot.

sixflagger3211 - August 29, 2006 10:44 PM (GMT)
Maybe a little bit. Not really.

Great America - August 30, 2006 02:36 AM (GMT)
I dont like how they have all the bars surrounding it.

sixflagger3211 - August 30, 2006 03:18 AM (GMT)
Ya it's been leaking alot lately. I remember the first time I went on it it like wasn't even leaking. Now it's like gushing.

Great America - August 30, 2006 04:29 AM (GMT)
lol

sixflagger3211 - August 31, 2006 01:49 AM (GMT)
Ya it's not good lol

Great America - August 31, 2006 02:21 AM (GMT)
Yah, Tornado tied for second for the best new Wateride of 06.http://www.amusementtoday.com/

sixflagger3211 - August 31, 2006 03:09 AM (GMT)
That's kinda weird.

Great America - August 31, 2006 11:35 AM (GMT)
I think it wouldnt of tied if that accident didnt happen.

sixflagger3211 - August 31, 2006 01:04 PM (GMT)
ya probably.

Great America - September 1, 2006 09:51 PM (GMT)
Is HH still closed?

sixflagger3211 - September 2, 2006 02:47 AM (GMT)
I would think so.

jonrev - September 2, 2006 03:16 AM (GMT)
Yes.

Jackluver19 - September 21, 2006 04:51 PM (GMT)
I liked the Tornado it was a little boring at first but I liked it a lot

sixflagger3211 - September 22, 2006 12:15 AM (GMT)
I think it's better than the other ones. I don't know if it's worth the wait though.

Jackluver19 - September 22, 2006 12:19 AM (GMT)
it was 15 minutes to get the tube and an hour and a half just to get up the dumb stairs

sixflagger3211 - September 22, 2006 12:46 AM (GMT)
To me the stairs are fast, it's getting the tube and waiting in that long strip that seem like forever.

Jackluver19 - September 22, 2006 02:39 AM (GMT)
It was an hour and a half for us, it was stupid

M_Force_4_ever - February 19, 2009 07:49 PM (GMT)
Forgive me for bumping an old topic...

However I was at the Tornado media day...EPIC FAIL

They didn't even open Tornado to the guests of media day, they just let life guards ride for the filming.

Yeah it was pretty much :shoot:

IMHO

We all got hurt on that thing when it first opened. Haven't been on it since.

amusementparknut - February 16, 2010 03:16 AM (GMT)
too bad the lazy river is filthy looking now i remember when it was clean looking and had that wave channel at the back near the family slides.

Tiki - February 16, 2010 05:34 PM (GMT)
If you look closely the lazy river is drivit/cement over treated lumber construction. I don't know how it doesn't leak like a siv or rot away.

amusementparknut - February 18, 2010 02:09 AM (GMT)
never noticed that i do remember that they used to have a wave channel in the thing then they took it out but it looked like the bottom of my high school swimming pool which i constantly was getting sick from so thats another reason not to go for me

Tiki - February 18, 2010 03:05 AM (GMT)
It is a rather strange type of construction for an underwater location. I sure hope that treated lumber wasn't the older version which were treated with Arsenic! Besides being poisonous it wouldn't react well with chlorine. It would cause black/green staining of concrete. It maybe the cause of what you are seeing.
