Title: Winter Sucks!
Tiki - January 19, 2010 11:41 PM (GMT)
:cussing: This Sucks! I am sick of cold weather! I want to go to SFGA right now!
I am getting paunchy and pale cause I am trapped either at home or at work. No Hurricane Harbor and laying out in the sun. I also hate that the sun sets at noon here during the winter!
Anybody have anything good to share? I could use some good news!

Well, winter is hockey season and the Hawks are doing well this year. They were leading the conference until tonight, but they lost and San Jose won, so they're 2 points back now. Hawks will likely win the conference though, so that's some good news.
I had a coaster craving the other day, but I had to quickly push it aside so I could finish my homework in time. I really hate homework.

Well that's true. The Blackhawks are a good winter thing. I don't know much about hockey, but having grown up in Chicago I do know about fighting, so I do appreciate that aspect of hockey!
But I had to break out the Jimmy Buffet and Bob Marley CD's and the coconut spray. So I have the sounds and smells of Hurricane Harbor. Now all I need is the sun and warm weather!
Keep up the homework! A first class education is very important! Especially nowadays!

I haven't been up to Gurnee in a while. Is the Christmas tree down from Sky Trek Tower yet? That's usually a good sign that winter's almost over and OD is not too far off. :retard:

That came down before the new year.
Tiki - February 8, 2010 01:14 PM (GMT)
Boy that's early! It usually hangs up there until the end of February.
Tiki - February 8, 2010 05:00 PM (GMT)
Well this winter sucks even more now!
A two foot snowfall blizzard with forty mile an hour winds and white out conditions is coming our way for tonight through Wednesday!
I am gonna start burning piles of tires to bring on the global warming!!!!!
I hate snow! I hate cold! I hate shovelling snow! I HATE WINTER!!!! :cussing:

For me, the winters are usually terrible (I can take easily November, and December.). Thankfully, the Monster Trucks come one weekend though. That helps a tiny bit. I also am now going to the zoo during the winter, and the arcade places that have good games. I better go before they close down them anyway because with how high-tech the new systems are, people aren't goign to the arcades anymore.
I used to go to the waterpark indoors at least 2 times a year, but now that's closed, and I'm not paying $250 for a night at Key Lime Cove.
I do like the Olympics (some of the games), but than they take off everything else on tv. They are all in reruns. So, it's either the Olympics or nothing. I don't watch the Olympics for 5 hours though, and I just record it because I'm not going to watch all the sports I don't like.
There is NO baseball, or NO Football anymore.
They really should have a full sized carnival at Navy Pier now. They would get boatloads of people that would want to go on the rides now because of non-thrills now unless you live in Texas, California, Las Vegas, or Florida.

Here comes more crappy snow!
I am definitely going to have to make the permanent move to Fort Lauderdale soon! The occasional frost I can handle, but this snow stuff has got to go! :rant2:

^Amen. My parents are trying to buy a condo in Boca Raton.
Tiki - February 21, 2010 07:09 PM (GMT)
G-d Bless them! Boca Raton is a great place! They are going to love it there!
There are some great deals on condo/housing developments there too. They're buying at the bottom of the market. They can't lose, they can only win! And best of all, no more stinkin' snow and cold weather!
Demon_10 - February 21, 2010 07:57 PM (GMT)
That's true, it's just been stressful lately since my dad had to fly down short notice for an in-person interview. We'll find out if we're approved sometime next week
Tiki - February 22, 2010 04:22 PM (GMT)
I'll keep my fingers crossed for you! You are going to love it down there! I am expecting to move there this fall myself.
jonrev - February 23, 2010 04:32 AM (GMT)
A sign that spring is near: Dog n Suds re-opened last week. Now we wait for Tastee Freez.
Demon_10 - February 23, 2010 04:39 AM (GMT)
I'll have to make a pilgrimage there soon
Tiki - February 25, 2010 01:09 PM (GMT)
Spring can't come soon enough! But of course with all this snow that will mean flooding.
