Hey guys! Wellp, we drove down over 2 days so it felt good to stretch my legs at a theme park! Luckily, our La Quinta was within walking distance from the park so we saved 12 bucks right there. I was curious to see if Gwazi was as bad as everyone told me. Tiger side was closed that day, so I waited roughly 20 minutes for front row Lion. Actually a very fun ride, no rougher than Eagle in my opinion, and the cars were slightly more comfortable. Near the exit, I bought a coaster shirt for 20 bucks. Next on my to-do list was SheiKra. I was really surprised at how efficient its capacity is! I waited from the bottom of the ramp, and in 10 minutes or less, I was strapped into row 3. Immelman loops are a lot of fun, definately one of my favorite inversions now. It started to rain soon after I got off and for maybe 20 minutes, the rides were down for lightning in the area. I grabbed a snack and headed for Kumba right as it was re-opening. Back row was pretty fun, so I rode again front row. The rain stung, but still an amazing ride. I was very disappointed with their bumper cars, maybe I'm just spoiled with Rue Le Dodge, but they seemed slow as hell. The rides went down again, so waited out the storm in the Desert Grill. Very reasonable prices for their food, so I ate and watched one the highlights of the day. Their show "Let's Dance," was quite honestly the best amusement park show I've seen. Professional, outstanding costumes, and very entertaining. Videos will be up soon. I was excited to get on Montu, so that's where we headed. It was just going through its last test cycles when I got in line in an empty station for back row. Great ride! Very smooth, and not as uncomfortably forceful as BTR. They let me re-ride once, and then I went around to the front row. Only my 2nd B&M invert, but without a doubt my favorite. The train was open, so I was able to get the last round trip of the day. Very scenic, great for pictures (Which you'll see soon enough, I promise) I then got a walk-on ride on Scorpion. Schwartzkopf loopers are just plain fun, no matter how small they are. To close out the day, I rode Phoenix. Outstanding flat, tons of mind-numbing fun! I really wish Power Dive was still around but I'm grateful I got to ride something similar. Wellp, that about does it for day 1. Pics will be up eventually, along with day 2
