Title: SFGAm 04-24-10
Description: Opening Day

superbleachbrothers - April 25, 2010 07:23 PM (GMT)
After waiting months for OD, It finally arrived yesterday. I was very excited that OD was coming. So I left the house around 9 and came to GA at 10:30ish. I never predicted that the park would be crowded since it was on a weekend; instead, it turned out to be a good day. The weather said that it would be SHIT out; however, there was NO Drops of rain accept for mist. Its also my first time bringing my new camera to the park at day time. It was also my first time having a Parking Pass to the park so I don't need to pay $15 every time I go to the park. Anyway, here are the pictures:

New this year is not a ride, but instead it MagiQuest. What I can tell from this attraction is that its a Virtual Fantasy game and you use a wand to do stuff and they have costume themed staff to help. I'm not interest about playing MagiQuest and I've heard that the price is damn pricey.

I noticed something about the Whizzer. The Whizzer IS COMPLETELY ADVERTISING the new Karate Kid movie on the walls, TVs, even on the trains!!!! The Whizzer should be called THE KARATE WHIZZER!!! The New movie might suck more than the original film.

After walking all day, I decided to get dinner at Farmers Market (Which has now a new name) and went to this burger place. The Staff in there were ALL ASIANS. There was a woman who stand on the table and I asked her for a Bacon Cheeseburger; in addition, she had a very Quiet Asian accent and I could not understand what she was saying. So I asked her to give me a burger. The burger was ok and the fries were also fine. I also got a pudding thing from there.

Demon_10 - April 27, 2010 01:34 AM (GMT)

^ I met Jon at Orleans Place near by the wheelchair rental place. I only talked with him for a minute and then we left. I did not notice that he had the bumper stickers until you spoke. What were you wearing during that time?

Demon_10 - April 27, 2010 02:59 AM (GMT)
As I said earlier, jeans and a hoodie

I have to say, the Karate Kid wraps on the Whizzer trains nearly made me vomit. It just isn't a ride that should be used for that kind of promotion.

Oh, did anyone catch the old model of the park they had in the gift shop by the area where SSA used to be? It's the same model that is featured in pictures on Greatamericaparks.com. It was really cool to see that in person, and it was cool to meet the people that were hanging around it. It seemed like most of them were old park employees from the 80s or early 90s, and were also coaster enthusiasts. Anyway something interesting I found on OD, and I hope they keep it there, or somewhere for public viewing for the whole season. It was really nice to see this, and see the park honor its history.
