Title: What newer attractns thrgh the years do you still

ride constantly, or shows do you watch?

What I mean more clearly to explain myself is Buccaneer Battle came in 2009, before that Dark Knight came in 2008, Wiggles in 2007, Tornado in 2006 - I think Spygirl was this year?, Hurricane Harbor in 2005, Mardi Gras in 2004 plus Revolution, Superman in 2003, and V2, and Deja Vu in 2001; and I'm wondering if you go on this stuff or not?

Well, these were the newer attractions, and I'm wondering if you guys have been riding these every year they were there a bunch of times, or has it been a once and done thing. What I'm trying to figure out is what they are putting in, are you guys and girls going on? I won't count Raging Bull as 1999 because that is a hit to a lot of people, so there is no reason to ask. You can also add shows to the list.

For me,

-Buccanner Battle - Played with the spraying guns - never went on the ride because I hate those guns. What, they couldn't just have had push a button. Also, the course just looks so small, and dumb.

-Dark Knight - Constantly Go On

-Wiggles- I have been on that Zamperla ride and it stunk. Moser Spring Ride is so much better. Nothing else.

-Tornado - I won't say constantly but maybe once and a while. I don't regard it as a wonderful attraction, but okay.
Hurricane Harbor - Constantly go in, but it took a few years to go in there.

-Mardi Gras - Constantly go on Big Easy Balloons. To me, Ragin Cajun, and King Chaos are terrible. Jester's Wild Ride isn't terrible, but I don't go on it. For Revolution, I'm waiting for it to go faster and be a longer ride. The ride is wimpy. I guess I'll keep on waiting forever.

-Superman - Constantly Go On but might not go on it a lot per day, and that's just because it's always packed.

V2 - Constantly Go On
Deja Vu - Used to Constantly Go On

For Shows:
-Spy Girl - Once and done. It wasn't great. I might have seen it for another year if it existed for another year.
-Pictorium (Dick Clark Bloopers) - Yeah, this was pretty stupid. Having the people in the audience talk and answer questions was more exciting than the show.
- Grand Music Hall (Show Stoppin') - Never Seen It.
- Grand Music Hall - They had some sort of music videos thing. I haven't seen it.
- Wiggle's World Show - No thank you.

- To me, the entertainment is pretty poor at the park. The music thing could be good, but it's nothing I care for. That's about the highest quality of entertainment the park has. No wonder why the Love at First Fright is the show that's been going on for so long. It's because all the other shows stink. Is it really hard to open up the Southwest Ampitheater to something Superheroish like Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and so on. Come on, you own the rights Six Flags. Why don't they do something with those rights?

Back in the day the shows were very nearly Broadway style productions and performers aspired to do a summer there. Up and coming talent with a national following also performed there both as a headliner, but often as part of the park productions as well.
But that was during the Marriott era and they could afford set decorators, costume designers, composers, choreographers, etc. Because Great America was their corporate crown jewel and it didn't much matter if it made a profit or not.
If the current ownership could attract a syndicated production like American Idol that could do wonders for advertising, revenue and better shows.
I agree that some rides fell flat. I have never been on it but I have heard many people say that The Dark Knight was a flop, or at least it didn't live up to the hype. I am not a big believer in naming rides after movies. I can see naming them after characters, but not after movies so much. But even when you name them after certain trademarked characters, etc. I wonder if it's worth the additional costs of licensing? I mean, you could have named TDK something like "Psycho Box" or "Fanatic Factory" and people would still go on it.

I try to go on Bucaneer Battle every season. It's certainly not scary, nor is it fantastic technology, but it is a cool little ride.
Tornado? Forget it! I don't like waiting in line just to be injured.
