Title: The Waiting Game

So, here's what we DO know...

At SFGAm:
Chang track, trains, staircase and supports are still on-site as of 7/7/10
The park has the approval of the Zoning Board to construct Chang
Salemi & friends canceled their appearanced at the Village Board Meeting

At SFGAdv:
GASM has a death warrant for July 18
Nothing has been confirmed seen on-site
No such (necessary?) paperwork has been filed with Jackson Township

Now we play the waiting game and see if track shows up here, or at Great Adventure. Considering we still have track, supports, staircases, and trains here; I still believe the odds are in our favor. We shall see.

Discuss.

If GA canceled their appearances at the meeting, Can GA still can come back to the meeting get this rumor over with!?

^First off, both parks are 'GA' I wish you would refer to Great America as 'GAm' and Great Adventure to 'GAdv'.

And the park wouldn't go to the meeting to say, "We've cancelled our plans" They'd go to say, "We are following through with our plans".

And to add to doubts: http://www.dailyherald.com/story/?id=393014

The Mayor said that the park cancelled it. I think the plans are canned. But what would be just as exciting? A Water Coaster defiantly wouldn't. For me at least.

They don't even want to keep one for a 'just incase' for Demon? That says something about this new management.

WOW, are the people commenting on that article vicious or what?

Guess that's the final nail in the coffin. I'll be Vaulting this forum's contents this weekend.

My personal favorite comment in that article is:

There's rumors they may build the roller coaster underground.

David, you no longer have the record for the stupidest coaster related post I've ever read.

Some other gems in there too. I would also like to know what park these people are going to. They talk about so many line jumpers and unsavory types of people being there and make it sound as if SFGAm is in the middle of the ghetto and is always minutes away from a shootout.
