Title: 2011 Speculation Thread

jonrev - July 12, 2010 05:25 AM (GMT)
Well with the whole Chang ordeal now dead and buried, we now return to our regularly scheduled guessing-game, already in progress...

=No Rumors=

sfgam123 - July 12, 2010 06:29 PM (GMT)
hmm as far as new rides go, I think SFGAm needs a good wild mouse

superbleachbrothers - July 12, 2010 09:35 PM (GMT)
^ We already have a wild mouse. TDK?

And cajun.
I just think we need 1 more... :willy:

yes, it's sarcasm.

jonrev - July 13, 2010 02:43 AM (GMT)
Always never enough Mack in the Box's. Hell, they could've just saved money and re-used the SSA building to plop one in there.

Hellooo Smurfs: the Coaster.

superbleachbrothers - July 13, 2010 04:20 AM (GMT)
Having 3 wild mouses would be ridiculous. Ragin Cagin, TDK, and a 3rd mouse would shit SFGAm for the lack of thrill rides. ACErs were bitching that GA has not had a major investment since 2003 with Superman. ACErs would to see a coaster like a floorless coaster or a clone of El Toro.

CoasterNick2160 - July 13, 2010 07:22 AM (GMT)
I really don't know what they have planned but come on six flags yes no major thrill ride since superman, you start to think if the crybaby public people made them change their minds. At least give us a brand new some kind of thrill, I'll take a floorless hell even a dive machine.

You make it like getting a Dive Machine is bad! :happi:

let's be realistic guys, they need to tear down American Eagle and put in a thomas town. It's the most logical thing to do right now. Also, maybe put in a Wild mouse over in SSA's spot, and the latest rumor is that Bucaneer Battle will go, and we'll get another Wild Mouse, this time with 8 hairpin turns! Yippie! :P

5 Wild Mouses in one park is EVEN MORE ridiculous. Just rename SFGAm to Six Flags Wild Mouses. Lets make it more sense, remove all of the coasters and replace them with wild mouses. The general public will think that SFGAm is attempting to invest family friendly attractions that suck shit.

One word to say,

WE LOVE WILD MOUSES!!!!

Demon_10 - July 13, 2010 08:58 PM (GMT)
How many would we need for the term to be "mice"?

hell even a dive machine.

Let's restart that rumor.

jonrev - July 13, 2010 09:54 PM (GMT)
Buckybattle pretty much killed that one. I think Tumbleweed the B&M 4D is set for a return. :awesome:

Mister_Twister - July 25, 2010 04:12 PM (GMT)
So I'm the only person who's ever gone to the park and sort of likes Buccaneer Battle?

They should bring back the Z-Force.

Tiki - July 28, 2010 01:03 AM (GMT)
Hi Everyone!

Sorry. Its been a while. I have been to the harbor dozens of times. I am going again tomorrow. I discovered that people throw away their plastic pilsner beer glasses with the SF logo on them. So now I have about 25 glasses for my outdoor parties! What's more, people throw the refillable ones away too. So now we have five of those!
Anyway for 2011 think separate HH gate, parking lot tram/train and hydromagnetic coaster.

Demon_10 - July 28, 2010 05:08 PM (GMT)
^Good lord, you're like my dad fishing through cans at the cell for souvenir cups

From what I hear, the only thing true about that is The Parking Tram. Which is much appreciated, and a very good thing to bring.

Hell no i love it it has the shortest line of any water ride in the entire park. You want to get soaked fast just go on this a few times. Besides short line addes to the log of rides for that day. I think my personal best log of rides was like 40.

Tiki - July 31, 2010 03:02 AM (GMT)
Well your dad is a smart man. I don't drink and even if I did I wouldn't buy very many beers in those glasses for six or seven bucks a pop.
Now on to the speculation: The parking tram is a throwback to the Marriott era. But the new gate and water coaster is an old Shapiro plan. It makes sense if you consider that building anything in the SSA spot would mean a tougher time expanding HH in the future. They could put coasters in the picnic grove which is a big waste of space.

david - July 31, 2010 03:28 AM (GMT)
The Picnic Grove is a pretty big wast of space. And if the rumors of about Yankee Clipper are true, I could see a pretty nice sized coaster fit there. That is if we get a new CEO and Weber isn't permanent.

I, for one, am wholeheartedly against removing any Marriott originals on the basis that if we keep doing so, we'll eventually become the other Great America, minus the Whizzer, minus the railroad, minus Triple Play, minus a bunch of other things.

david - August 4, 2010 05:23 PM (GMT)
But the Picnic Grove isn't used for the public. There REALLY is no point in it. :P

They should let regular guests use it and bring in their own food. Or have something special on your park pass or ticket like a stamp or hole punch that says you can bring in your own food and use the grove for like 5.00 more just in addition to one persons ticket for that group not per person. and once there there should be a soda fountain for unlimited refills on your six flags souvenier refill glasses. And am I the only one that thinks they should have a forever glass that you can get refilled season after season. I mean after I buy the glass usually it just sits in the cupboard until a few years go by and i use it for something else or throw it away.

david - August 5, 2010 01:35 AM (GMT)
I don't drink soda, so I really never found a use for the souvenir bottle. I just ask for cups of water.

It brings in money for the park... or do you just expect that 2011 attraction to just fall from the sky?

david - August 5, 2010 02:33 AM (GMT)
Never said that. But how many events does the park actually hold? "Old Europe" Day, and...? do the summer camps use it? If so, then i can clearly see why they're keeping it.

jonrev - August 5, 2010 06:01 AM (GMT)
Corporations, schools, summer camps, etc. rent it throughout the summer.

superbleachbrothers - August 7, 2010 01:50 PM (GMT)
Chang's layout is at SFGAdv. Damn...

I know I'm a fanboy, no point in pointing it out.

;( What could have been. I just hope this means that we will get a new coaster in the next two years. :/ Doubtful.

I can make a definite prediction for 2011! You can take it to the bank!

I won't be there! I am moving to Florida in the Spring.

May take one last shot at SFGA before we split, but that would be about it.
I am visiting Aquatica for 10 days in December. I will take pics if anyone is interested I'll send em to you.

jonrev - August 26, 2010 01:54 AM (GMT)
Well, here's what we need to watch. The full announcement is September 1.

jonrev - August 26, 2010 05:39 PM (GMT)
Hacked image uncovered. All the clues point to a waterslide... are we surprised?
