The giftshop of Gatorland in Florida was destoryed this morning by fire. The cool looking gator mouth enterance was severely damaged but is standing. The fire killed a croc and two pythons.

I was at this place in 2005 and I thought it was cool. The two parrots that hang out in the gift shop were moved into the aviary behind the park during the night and were not harmed.

The park is closed at the moment but will reopen.

Do they know how the fire started?

Nope. There was no rennovation going on and nobody was at the park during the time. Apparantly someone driving by noticed the fire and called 911.

It's a really big tourist attraction near Orlando. It's basically a alligator zoo with a train ride simillar to SFGAm's.

Well thats good that nobody was at the park during the fire. So obviously no one was injured or anything.

It was announced today that a heating pad in a snake cage started the fire. The fire was so devestating because the entire interior was wood and there was alot of clothing and such in the gift shop.

Yeah, that'll do it
