jonrev - November 9, 2006 04:02 AM (GMT)
I heard Christmas music while at Dunkin Donuts on Sunday.
Watch... all those political ads will be replaced with Christmas ads and Toy ads.
sixflagger3211 - November 9, 2006 04:13 AM (GMT)
I know!!! lol I'm so glad all that crap is over. It was getting really annoying! Now the Christmas cheer is here. lol
MrsVerticalVelocity - November 9, 2006 04:53 PM (GMT)
ITS NOVEMBER 9th!!!!!!!!! not December 9th!! I can't stand Christmas this early!! I don't want to be reminded of it when it is 60 degrees outside!! Anyway, if Christmas starts this early, I will run out of spirit when the actual holiday hits! I'd rather think of Christmas as snowy and Decembery not Novembery.
CoasterAndrew15 - November 9, 2006 08:51 PM (GMT)
Good luck for you then, looks to be a rainy cold day tomorrow with snow at night.
MrsVerticalVelocity - November 11, 2006 12:15 AM (GMT)
Yep, quick switch in the weather!!(but I like it) But still. The weather aint the only reason I don't like Christmas early. I just think it should be saved till after Thanksgiving. Then it should go a little after the actual holiday, instead of just ending after the 25th!! The actual Christmas season goes somewhat through January. I'd like to see the C season shift a little later...not shorten.

I really wish Great America ran on a schedule where they would be open on days over 40-degrees and little-no snow on the ground. That's how I would run a park.
Hurricane_Harbor4life - November 23, 2006 01:10 PM (GMT)
Everybody has to correct me, but still it is THANKSGIVING!!!

Jon How would the rides get rehabed then???? You would be amazed with how much stuff is done to every ride from November to March!
jonrev - December 3, 2006 07:56 PM (GMT)
Didnt think about that...
Well the rides that need rehab could be closed for a bit I guess. I believe Whizzer gets some serious work done on it during the offseason so it would probably be out for the offseason.

That would be difficult, wouldn't it. Too bad things just can't be perfect all the time, eh?
What about Disney World and those places? Don't they stay open all year or most of the year? How do they do it? I don't know, maybe they don't-I don't know their operating hours.
jonrev - December 20, 2006 01:17 AM (GMT)
Finally put the holiday banner up.
