Title: Demon

A classic Arrow Development custom-designed corkscrew coaster. Originally opened as Turn of the Century in 1976 and was re-named and re-themed to the Demon for the 1980 season.

The Demon
At one time, this was SFGAm's most themed ride, although it has been tones down in the last couple decades. It had aged well for an Arrow creation, and boasts 4 inversions, tunnels, and sound effects. It would have been rated higher in the 80's, but it is still a great ride. Like all Arrows, the trains really staple you in them. But for an Arrow, it is a smooth ride, and a must if the lines aren't too long.
Overall
8/10

Wow!. What a gem. This ride is just gotten to me recently. The loops are so wonderful, and the corks complement the ride. The music is also addicting. I can reride this ride for hours.

Beware! Its the Demon! This bad boy has been around for many years, but it still packs a great punch. It has awesome loops and a corkscrew. This is the only roller coaster where loops give me a great thrill. Something is different about Demon. I am usually not into coasters with loops and inversions as much as ones like V2 and Raging Bull. But that 'ol Demon is an exception! I have finally mastered the way to put my head so that it does not bang around on the corkscrew! The line is never long, so its great to ride multiple times!
The only bad thing I can say about Demon is that the ride is way too short.

Watch out , he’s ganna, GET YA. The classic red, black and yellow trains go through Demons 100’ hill and flies through 4 inversions. The first 2 are loops. Then you go through a long tunnel with lights and sound. Then you go up a small hill turn and go down to a small rock tunnel with a waterfall. You turn And hit 2 corkscrews. Even though they are head bangers they are fun. Then you finally go on brakes. The whole ride is fun. As what use to be 2 hills as it was called turn of the century now is 2 loops and called DEMON.

Demon is the parks classic double looping and corkskrew coaster.
It's a great ride, expecially for younger riders. Nothing to extreme, to tall, or too scary. The themeing is good, except the fact that its in a fair themed area.
This has moderate thrill. 5/10

This ride will always be my number 1 ride. I love it for its simplicity. It doesn't try to impress you with pyrotechnics or some huge 700 foot drop into oblivion. Nah it starts out with a very subtle drop into a tunnel. After that you are dragged into the sky and whipped back around. Soon after, you feel the train release and your excitement builds up because you know that your in for the ride of your life.
I always pictured the 2 loops being you trying to escape from the demon, then the trim brakes is where he grabs you. Soon after you are forced into the mouth of the Demon and he rolls you around in his mouth (the corkscrews).
Don't forget, this is the only coaster at SFGAm that has its own theme song. It was my ring tone for quite a while.
You silly dude, you're only food, for the Demon.

The Demon was the first coaster I ever rode way back in the early 90's. It scared the living hell out of me when we hit that first loop. I was probably 11 or 12 years old, and came a good half a foot out of my seat. I swore I was going to fall out!
Needless to say, nearly 20 years later, The Demon is a must ride, every time I hit the park. I love the way it looks, I love the way it rides. It's just a subtle little ass-kicker. It doesnt look all that impressive, but it goes balls to the wall when you take it on.

AWESOME RIDE BUT ENTIRELY TOO SHORT!!!! Needs the blood red waterfall back also needs the lights back above the tunnel but with protection over them so no assholes can try any shit and break the bulbs as the coaster is running. Also they should have the fog all the time not just during fright fest.

Oh Demon. Black Train, 2-2. <3
I fell in love with the Demon in September of 2010. It was dead at the park, so I was able to get infinite re-rides. I ended up with 20+ rides and I loved it. I believe I was able to enjoy it so much because my head was completely over the harness, meaning that there was no possibility of head banging.
If you want a ride that will shake you up, and thrill you, this is it.
