This Hopkins Shoot-the-Chutes opened in 1986 and will get you wetter than any other water ride at Great America.

It's not the best water ride at the park. It's not the worst either. If you are hot, this is a way to cool you off. I don't see a huge thrill in it even though I like it better than the Log or Clipper rides.

When me and my friends went to the park back in 2005 the lines for all of the water rides were like 2 hours long. We went to the exit of Splashwater Falls and stood on the bridge for like 20 minutes we were completely soaked and cool the entire day. Though I never actually got the chance to ride it I will miss it as one of the original rides from my childhood park.
