An original Marriott attraction that opened in County Fair. Relocated several times between 1985 and 2001 and for a brief time was known as Gotham City Swinger.

The Whirligig is a nice little fun ride. It's a bunch of swings that go on an angle. This is a ride I have to ride everytime at the park.

This is the ride where you are all in little swings and spin on an angle.

I like to compare Whirligig to Wave Swinger at Navy Pier, since they are practically the same thing. The only thing is that Whirligig is smaller and slower. If I had never been on Wave Swinger, I would rate Whirligig higher. But Whirligig does not even come near Wave Swinger! I will still ride it when I go to SFGAm, but I know I will not have as much fun. It just does not do anything to give me a fun, thrillful sensation.

This ride has some great artwork on it, and looks amazing at night, but I can take it or leave it. I mean it really is nothing special, I think a Trabant or Chaos might fit very nicely here.
