Title: Vertical Velocity

An Intamin Impulse coaster with one twisted tower and one straight tower. The straight one holds you for a second at one point.

This ride is just awesome. You start off in the station, and it launches you forward, and backwards. I can ride this a lot.

This ride just doesn't do anything for me. All you do is go back and forth a couple times. To be completely honest, I would rather ride Sprocket Rockets than V2. The holding brake is cool, but other than that, all V2 does is give me a headache (I have no idea why, it just does).

4/10

The nerve-wracking feeling before launch gets me every time. I've been on this ride more than any other, but I continue to "freak out". I feel the brakes go up. It is then that I know any minute I am about to be launched to full speed in a matter of seconds. Time goes into slow motion. The ride operator says "clear for launch". I await him to say "goodbye" but instead I suddenly I hear a loud screaming sound and burst into motion. Before I know it, I am partway up the first tower. Then backwards through the station. As I look out, I realize how fast I am actually going. Up the back tower, then to the Helix again. Then back another time. This time is different. The train stops on the back tower for a couple seconds. As I fall, I feel as if I am free falling-like there are no limits. But then I go back to the helix. As I come back into the station, the brakes screach like mad. When I get off, my hair is all in my face.

I would not change a thing about Vertical Velocity. The LIMs screaming is music to my ears. The ride is so simple. but so fabulous! I even notice a unique smell on this ride. I cannot describe it because it is in a class of its own. Its looks are so unique. The first tower looks like a DNA strand. The back one reminds me of a radio tower.

V2 is techy, scientific-looking and is such an electromagnetic wonder. When I think about the science of this coaster, I am awed by the fact that it can get up to such high speeds by just using magnets! There's no lift hill, nothing but these little LIMs! I never thought that the repelling force of magnets could be so powerful!

I could wait in line all day just to ride V2 once! I get a different feeling on this ride than ANY other ride I have ever been on. The transition to the back tower is more than amazing. If I just relax myself at that point, I get the breath taken out of me. I can't scream, shout, talk or even breathe. It sends something racing through my whole body. But that is not all. When I get off the ride, I STILL FEEL IT! In fact, its effects last for so long that I still feel it the day after. In conclusion, there is NOTHING like V2! I can't get that feeling from anything else in the world! Vertical Velocity will forever remain #1 and I will forever remain Vertical Velocity's #1 fan! No doubt, this is the one and only ride I will rate a 10/10!

This ride is great fun and over water. Making it even better. The launch is so much fun to watch and be in. My favorite part is when it hangs you on the straight tower.

9/10

The first time I rode on V2, I was scared of the launch. After that, it was a petty good ride. When you stop at the spiral roll, you feel like "Yoo!!" Then you go backwards! This ride is fun, but can be scary for first time riders. I'll give V2: 7/10
