What's your favorite sound at SFGAm? It could be anything. I have to credit SFStL for giving me the idea for this topic. So, that's for you over there. :D

For me, it would have to be the noise D Vu makes when it goes up the tower, and when it releases the train. That noise is something else. I like the BTR chain also. V2 is also a cool launch, but not my favorite. Away from SFGAm, it would have to be the Zipper.

Demon's first tunnel sounds, and away from GAm, Greezed Lightnin's horn and launch sounds.

I love the chain sound while going up the drop on the Demon and the announcements around the park like, "Thank you visiting Six Flags Great America, we hope to see you again soon, blah blah" It brings that SFGAm spirit. lol

Ilike the lifts, I like the sound going down the drop on Eagle and of course the music.

I love the sound of all the chain lifts.

I love the sound of when V2 holds you at the back spike.

* Revie's start up sound
* V2's LIM screams
* techno played at various places throughout the park
* The sound of clicks when you go up lift hills
* Eagle's extreme scratchy/scrape sound that you hear while waiting for Bull
* The sound RC makes when the car becomes free to spin
* V2's sound when you stop on the back tower
* The vibration sound of that while you are waiting in line
* The funky and annoying sounds of several games...I still love these sounds, even though they bug the hell out of me LOL. If I didn't get to hear them, my day at SFGAm wouldn't be complete.
* People screaming on roller coasters.
* The sound KC makes before you flip
* The instrumental "Red River Valley" played in Southwest Territory
* Just the plain 'ol wonderful sound of roller coasters in motion
* People's change falling out of their pockets
* Viper when it drzzles...the train on the track sometimes makes a constant squeak
* When you stand in one place and hear more than one song at a time!
* When people attempt karaoke

when someone messes up on the games, and you hear "D'oh"! I also like the train whistle, the carousel song, and the lifts.

That is the sound of brake 1 opening. If you want to hear a sound thats "something else" watch a miscatch ;).

-V2 holding brake
-When sitting in the back row of V2, and you go up the first tower the first time and you don't make it up the tower, and you head backwards and hear the LIMs screaming.
-Roller coasters in motion
-Déjà Vu going up the first tower. If you listen closely, the sound changes about 3 differant times. Once when it starts going backwards, then when it's at about a 45 degree angle, and then when it's vertical. It should kind of like: WRRRRRRUUUHHHMMMMMMMMMMMMMM ~CHHH~. Lol
-Everything in the park basically except when people say "Excuse me" when they're trying to line jump.

I am very pleased with the mix of Theme to Pop music int he park this year. Those old derges are just that old and tired. People respond to music they are familiar with. Seems Jewel and most other stores have caught onto this.

I love when they play "All that She Wants" by Ace of Base. I think its the Air Bush T shirt place by V2 that playes it a lot. If its not the shirt place, its something in that area!(Yeah I'm in that area a lot) :D

The ticket takers saying; "Welcome to Six Flags" on opening day is my favorite sound of all!

The roar of batman near the East River Crawler
The east River Crawler's whistle
The Demon going into the tunnel
The waves on Roarin Rapids
The Train Whistle
Ricochet flinging out its arms
Fiddler's Fling's brakes
People Screaming on Power Dive

-Demon's "cccraaaaahhh" sound at the top of the lift

-All of Whizzer's sounds

-Train whistle

-Fiddler's music (On the train and STT also I think)

-Sounds at the front gate

-Bull rushing down the first drop

When Raging Bull first hits on the chain lift, it make this beast-like sound.

I also like the Doppler Effect roar and screams as the coaster passes overhead at the entrance to Hurricane Harbor. (Although I am sure the day will come when we get puked on from someone on that thing.)

Yes, I've encountered many stupid ride ops, but Rue always has the worst.

On another note: V2 and Demon's startup horn. Ragin Cajun's dispatch alarm is also pretty awesome.

6. Hiss on King Chaos before it starts spinning

See? This is why I love this kind of subject!
Until you mentioned the hiss from King Chaos or the click, click, click of a coaster going up I hadn't really thought about those things. But I do like those sounds!
I can hear the coaster clicking from Skull Island at HH and I do like the loud hiss on King Chaos too.
