Yesterday, I had the most crazy, memorable and most enjoyable experience at SFGAm ever! So many strange things happened. Plus, MajorRagingBullFan (Carrie) and I felt like we were drunk the whole time!
We got to the park at 10 and headed to Déjà Vu. I had only been on Vu twice and I hadn't been on since September. I always thought Vu was fun, but it was never one of my favorites and I never was totally thrilled with it. While we were in line, We were so scared! I was freakin' out cause I know Vu! Déjà Vu, to put it bluntly, is a sneaky, tricky, sly and EXTREMELY unhealthy dude! Don't EVER try to trick Déjà Vu! You'll never win no matter what! So I was freakin' out more than I have ever freaked out when we were all strapped in ready to go. I was screaming "LET ME OFF!" Then when we started going up the tower, I knew my fate! I was unable to recall all the details of the ride from the last two times I rode. Let's just say this! I was whipped around with the breath taken out of me at every turn! And I do NOT mean this as a figure of speech! I literally mean I COULDN"T BREATHE! I was screaming the whole time I could breathe and once we got off, I was shaking uncontrollably! I want to ask: How can I ride the same ride 3 times and only on the 3rd time fall in love with it? The ONLY other ride that I literally can't breathe on is V2!
So then we went to Bull. That was fun as always. After that we went to V2 (hehe) and that was fun as always! The lady ride op said "Prepare for launch goodbye-wait! never mind not yet" twice! She was so funny! Sometime in there, we went on Revy, King Chaos and triple Play and also stopped to get something to eat. Then we had to go to the bathroom really bad. So we went to the one in Yankee Harbor right under Batman.
Now, everyone knows, as Andrew would call it, my "beef" with Batman. Ever since that one terrible ride, I refused to go on it. But when we were walking into that bathroom, I said to Carrie "Have you ever been tempted to ride Batman again? This is the first time I've been even the slightest bit tempted." So we got out of the bathroom, looked at each other and said "Let's go on Batman!" Now all my fear is gone, but I still can't say that Batman is the best ride in my book. But now no one can make fun of me for my Batman fear anymore! HA!
So we went back to Bull. I said to Carrie "This is Revelation day! We both fell in love with Vu, We went on Batman and we got the blue train on Bull!" Out of all the many times we had gone on Bull, neither of us had ever gotten the blue train...well we finall did! We thought that was enough to make it "Revelation Day" But we were unaware of what was yet to come!
After a wonderful ride on Bull, as we were slowing down coming in, I said to Carrie "Let's just get back in line". She agreed. So we were just sitting there behind the train that was in the station, waiting for it to load. We had been walking a lot, our feet were tired and aching and Bull's seats are so comfortable! Every time I was on a coaster and sat behind the station waiting for them to pull us in, I always wished that the ride would break down and we could sit there a while.
So I said to Carrie "I wish they'd have problems so that we could get stuck here for a while!" She agreed. Both of us were forgetting that Bull had a beakdown when we were in line the first time. So we started talking about other things and suddenly I realized we had been sitting there for quite a while. Then the other train stops behind us and I see them taking all the people off of the train in the station. Then some guys started walking out by us and the train behind us. Everyone was asking what was wrong, but I couldn't hear what he was saying. I saw them talking on the phone and I was like YAY! So we sat there for about 7 or 8 minutes. The guy was like "sorry about the delay" But I was like "Don't be sorry! I loved it! I wish it would have been longer!" So we went right back in line for our 3rd time on Bull.
We went directly to V2 after that and went on 2 consecutive rides. Then to SUF, then we went to Bull again for the 4th time! Both of us were soooo tired out and our brains were fried and scrambled from all the thrill rides! We were extremely hungry too! But we went back to V2 again! This time, we had to get front row! So we did. When we got on, it was just about 9:00. The guy commented on my V2 (Mod Note: Watch your Language!) and then said something that will stay in my mind until the day that birds swim and fish fly! He told me that the restraint in the seat I was in had a tendancy to open during the ride! But here's the thing, he sounded serious! I mean, he wasn't teasing me! He was actually telling me that! Now, there has only been one time before that when I have literally feared my life...and that was a huge lightning storm where I was outside hoping and praying I wouldn't get struck! Nothing happened during the ride, but dang! That was the freakiest ride I
ever had on V2! I was planning on being all ahh and relaxed and taking it all in with a little screaming here and there, but I was screaming the whole time! Carrie and I always told ourselves that we HAD to remember to think about the tower swaying when we were stopped up there...but we always forgot about it, because V2 is so fun and we can't think about much of anything during the ride! But finally, after knowing I didn't fall out on that brake, I screamed "The tower swayed!"
Revelation Day! While walking around later from coaster to coaster, we were drunk on thrills. Especially after the last time on Bull walking to V2! We were soo incredibly goofy and silly! If anyone saw us, they thought we had one too many because we were loud and crazy and sooo free and good feeling that we seriously thought we were drunk.
After our day, we were walking....spinning through the parking lot in total disbelief of everything! I don't know how I drove home that night. I had to drive all the way t Hartford and then drive back to my house from there! I was in such a crazy, strange trance...it was almost like I was already seeping and dreaming! I think it was Déjà Vu-ism mixed with Vertical Velocity-itis and Roller Coaster-osis!
Revelaton Day! The craziest Trip Report ever made! And I still feel dizzy!
