Title: We are giong to put you in motion (Magic Waters)

Ilovthevu' - July 26, 2007 03:44 PM (GMT)
I went on July 25, 2007 to this nice wonderful park. The park was pretty packed. It was a Wet Wednesday, and I'm guessing that's the real reason why. You can pay $20, and stay in the park from 10 am-9 pm. On other days, you go, and you can only stay from 10-6 pm. So, that's probably the reason why. Also, you go from 5-9, and it's only about $9.

Anyway, it's packed. We arrive at about 11:20, or so. I wanted to get there early, but we couldn't. The water coaster was the first thing, and it wasn't that fun at first. I went single, and I leaned back in the tube. I got like no airtime on this ride. Maybe, it's me. Did I get bigger since last year, or what happend?

I went on the Lazy River next. I was pleasantly surprised to see so many tubes for this ride. It's unscam free. Yeah!! Seriously, the ride had enough tubes that you can go around again, and again unlike Hurricane Harbor where they make you get out because they are trying to sell those blasted blue tubes. Yes, I did have to get out one time, or so, but the wait was basically non-existant. There were so many tubes, and you didn't feel like it was tube after tube in which you couldn't move.

So, now you are thinking, why does this place sell those blasted pay tubes. Well, there are less double tubes for those slides, and a lot more single tubes for them. So, you would have to wait for double tubes for those slides. Also, you can go in the wavepool, and have those rent tubes. I've seen a number of those platic see through rental tubes. So, people are paying money for them. So, it's not like the park isn't getting any money for those rental tubes. I love this idea.

Why can't Six Flags do the same? Have less double tubes, and more single tubes. Thus, people would rent more of the double tubes because they want that excitement of going on slides with another person. It's not like they can't ride alone. Anyone can ride alone if they are tall enough for the slide.

Back to the Lazy River, it's fun. They have less water stuff I would say than Hurricane Harbor. They have two waterfalls, those water hose things in one place, things from the top get you wet (two separate rows of them), an elephant squirts you, and that's about it. The best part on the SFGAm HH lazy river in my opinion is the end where all these things squirt, and this one doesn't have anything like it. It's still so much fun though.

How about the wavepool? I don't think it's as good as SFGAm HH. The reason being is that waves are more like a real ocean waters would be. How about Lake Michigan? That's how those waves are. They are good, but I like the other ones. They are longer, and less rapidy. The ones at SFGAm HH are more like surfing contest waves. There are places to get those type of waves (the Pike as mentioned in a movie I saw). Yes, SFGAm HH isn't that high up compared to real surfing contest type of waves, but it's in that range I would say. That's the best way to explain the two. One is like Lake Michigan, and the other is like a surfing contest, but of course both of them are much smaller than a real lake. Who knows how deep those bodies of ocean are? I don't. So, SFGAm HH is better in my opinion.

I probably did the tan slide next. That's my second favorite water slide at this park. I like it because I have a trick to spin the thing around. I won't tell you, but I like to spin the tube around most of the time I'm on that thing. On any SFGAm HH slide, you can't do it. These tan slides are like the Family Raft slide, but they only fit one person (or the double rafts). They are in the order of what you do.

Next up was the Abyss. These are enclosed slides. I went on the yellow slide. The yellow slide is the weaker of the two. I forgot which one was the better one, and I choose the wrong one. Oh well. Later there was no time to get on the other one. It was always packed even when the park was an hour from closing, the tan one had no one on it, and the other one, had the stairs line. Anyway, the yellow one is fun enough. I guess you compare is to the slides all the way in back at SFGAm HH. Those are enclosed, and these are too. It was okay (the yellow slide).

I'm basically done with the rides they had that I wanted to go on. The remaining slides were a 3 slide complex body slides. I just don't like body slides. I think we ate at this time. Thus, leaving the park, and coming back later.

I did those things (above) except Abyss again, and than it was my 3 to last ride of the night. I go on the Water Coaster (my favorite water slide I've been on), and the ride is just awesome. It's not because of the night time ride, or even the tube that makes it #1. It's the fact that instead of leaning all the way back, I sit up a little bit, and here comes the airtime on the ride. Don't forget that. If you want some airtime, don't lean ALL the way back. WOW! It's a wonderful ride, and it's a wonderful park. It's not as good as SFGAm HH (I base it on how many rides I like at each park, and what order they are in.), but it's a great park. It's better than Racing Rapids used to be in Dundee.

Wait Times:
Lazy River: Non-existant
Tan Slides: Maybe 15-20 minutes
Abyss: Maybe 15-20 minutes
Water Coaster (Splash Blaster): 1 hour or more
Wavepool: Duh.
